11:00 am Registration Opens for early site setup and it remains open until dark
All Day: Arrival Day. Campsite setup, opportunities to chat with instructors and explore the site.

Note: Meals and formal classes are not provided on arrival day.

We recommend arriving by early evening in order to attend the opening ceremony. Participants are welcome to come onsite early, socialize and setup campsites during the day.
Dusk: Ceremonial Starting of the Central Fire – Listen For the Conch!
There will be a brief introduction and site orientation, followed by music at the campfire.

Thursday, April 6

8 am Breakfast
9 am Morning Circle – Gather for orientation and to describe class offerings
10 am – Classes begin

12:30 pm Lunch
2 pm Afternoon Classes
5 pm Afternoon tea – learn about making herbal teas.
6:30 pm Supper

Dusk: Stories and music around the campfire
Dark: Astronomy and navigation by stars (weather permitting)


Friday, April 7

8 am Breakfast
9 am Morning Circle

  • OWLS – Screech, Barred and Great Horned – Matt Jenkins, Piedmont Wildlife Center educator, will be offering an owl program on Friday night after dinner with three of PWC’s live raptor ambassadors: a screech owl, barred owl and great horned owl.  He will talk about the natural history of each bird and discuss ways we can all help to protect wildlife.  All three of these raptors are permanently injured and cannot return to the wild because of human impacts on them. Come learn how you can help wildlife and get an up close and personal introduction to these special owl ambassadors!

Saturday, April 8

Sunday, April 9

8 am Breakfast
9 am Morning Circle

10 am Morning Classes

12:30 Lunch

2 pm Final Classes
4pm Closing Ceremony
5pm Pack up and leave.
Note: Site clean up and breakdown will begin to occur during afternoon classes and will continue after closing ceremony. Worktraders will be working during this time. Please feel free to pitch in and learn the exquisite arts of making one of these events happen – there are many skills to be learned! Cheers to the crew! If you wish to help the breakdown crew…there may something in it for you….


Additional Notes

Breakfast and dinner beginning Thursday are covered as hospitality in the cost of registration. Lunch is on your own. Please plan accordingly. We may offer an inexpensive lunch option for sale onsite. Plates, forks, knives and spoons are not provided. Please bring your own, and keep them sanitary while you are here.
